A photo of a ritual inside a bare, newly built room with pale blue walls and red-framed windows. A person in a saffron-orange wrap and orange turban holds a brass oil lamp with a lit flame over a garlanded framed picture on a white-draped table; the table is decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands, floral arrangements and a brass kalasha-style stand. The person holds a small brass bell in the other hand and wears a rudraksha mala. Nearby, a man in white clothes holds a tray, and a man in orange on the right presses his palms together in namaste beside a video camera. Another person in white stands in the background. The scene is a puja or aarti at the opening of a new facility.

A photograph inside a hall during a Hindu ritual. In the foreground, a monastic in orange robes with a matching orange head wrap bows with palms pressed together. Beside him, a woman in an orange sari with a gold necklace stands with hands folded. A second orange-robed monastic in the centre holds a lit flame toward a row of small brass lamps on the floor. A brass oil lamp stands at right near a gold-framed shrine. Standing devotees line the walls, several with hands folded, and a man in white kneels at left. A cameraman films at left. A round stone object is visible at the lower edge. The floor is grey tile.

A photograph of an aarti ceremony in a plain tiled hall with a wooden shrine cabinet on the right, decorated with flowers and pink pots. A figure in orange robes with long dark hair and a red rudraksha mala holds up a flame with clasped hands, while a bald man in saffron and a gold necklace stands beside them. A man in white dhoti and shawl holds a lamp tray near the cabinet. Several people in white dhotis and orange robes stand in a row, including a man in white with a grey-streaked head facing away. Flower rangoli and marigold garlands decorate the floor by the shrine. The a person candidate in orange with long hair and rudraksha is an appearance-based probable match, with the shrine and aarti setting consistent with a prayer hall.

A photograph of a stage event. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at right, lighting a tall ornate brass oil lamp with a small wick lamp in his hand, his head bowed toward the flame. Beside him on the left stands a figure in a saffron-orange wrap and orange turban, with a long rudraksha mala around the neck, hands clasped at the waist, appearing to watch the lamp-lighting. The backdrop shows a painted banner with Tamil lettering and marigold and orange garlands hang overhead. Flower arrangements and a wooden table with papers and a water bottle sit at the side of the stage, and a red carpet covers the floor. The cues are distinctive: an orange turban, saffron wrap and rudraksha mala. This figure is an appearance-based a person candidate, shown in person, but the image alone leaves the identification uncertain.

A photograph inside a temple sanctum decorated with marigold and yellow flower garlands hanging from the ceiling and draped over a stone wall. A central figure wears a saffron-orange turban and a saffron-orange robe with a red-pink flower garland around the neck; he holds up a silver lamp with a lit flame toward the wall while people press palms together around him. Men and women in white and light clothing crowd in from both sides, some with hands raised in prayer. Bright light spots and a small speaker are visible on the upper wall.

A photograph of a ceremony under a red and yellow canopy with draped pink fabric. In the centre, a younger man in a saffron/orange dhoti and matching shawl with an orange head wrap bows over a silver ritual vessel on a flower-decorated pedestal, pouring or offering while an older man in orange robes with a head covering and rudraksha beads stands beside him. To the left, an older man in white shirt and white dhoti stands with palms pressed together in namaskar, and a tall man in white dhoti and kurta stands near them. Other attendees in dark shirts and green clothing stand behind. Garlands of white jasmine and marigold decorate the stage and brass urn, and a striped cloth lies in the foreground. The signage behind reads a partial banner.

A photograph inside a plain room with blue walls and a wall clock, showing a devotee in an orange robe with a rudraksha mala bending forward to light or lift a small oil lamp on the floor. Behind him, several men in white dhotis and shirts stand with palms pressed together in namaskar, and a man in a red shirt with a gold chain stands at the left edge. On the right, a table covered with banana leaves, fruit, flower garlands, a bowl of white offerings and a brass lamp holds a framed picture, with a brass kuthuvilakku lamp nearby. The orange-robed figure has long, swept-back hair and a rudraksha mala, with no visible crown or ceremonial gold necklace, so the a person identity is uncertain; he is described by role only.
