A man on a tall gilded throne with red cushioning, wearing an orange-saffron shawl and a gold necklace, sits to the right facing the group; a person candidate with a shawl and ornate gold necklace. Before him, a semicircle of devotees sits on the floor around a low gold tray holding silver plates with red-and-pink flower offerings and small lamps. Several men wear white dhoti-style cloth with gold garlands, and women wear white and cream saris, one in yellow-bordered clothing. Behind the throne are gilded staffs, a golden lion-like carved figure, and an orange-draped altar with a deity murti. Orange cushions and books lie on the floor at left.2010-11-12A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a long rudraksha mala sits with hands folded on a richly carved gold throne with red cushions, against a backdrop of gold-framed garlands and a golden deity image.
