January 20 20092009-01-20A photograph of a festival procession moving along a paved rural road lined with palm trees and a grey sky. Devotees in white dhotis and white kurtas walk in a line, several carrying tall orange-saffron flags on poles. Behind them a decorated float or vehicle carries orange and red ornamental canopies, a large ornate umbrella-like structure, and floral decorations, with women in white saris and orange-red saris walking alongside and a drummer in an orange garment. A man in the foreground at right holds a flag while wearing a red-and-white checked cloth over his shoulder. Roadside shops and a blue-green building with a partial sign stand in the background. No individual is clearly identifiable as the a person candidate; the visible figures are devotees and participants.2005-12-31A photograph of a street procession on a tree-lined road. Two large canopy umbrellas with white and lavender fabric shade a group of people, including a figure in saffron-orange robes and a long beard near the center. Shop signs and a building line the roadside.2005-12-31August 01 20082008-08-01Outdoor street procession on a paved road lined with trees and utility poles. Women in orange saris and white-clad participants walk beside it, several holding orange and white flags and orange ceremonial umbrellas. A tall saffron flag is carried at the front, and umbrellas in bright multicoloured fabric with gold fringe, along with a decorated palanquin-style canopy, rise above the marchers. Several musicians play wind instruments, including a long horn and a nadaswaram-type pipe, and a woman in a turquoise saree walks among them. Near the centre, a figure in orange robes with a long rudraksha-style mala wears long hair and walks within the group, a candidate for a person based on those visible cues. Motorcycles, a truck and a cameraman on a raised platform are visible in the background.2008-08-01December 29 20072007-12-29A large procession moves down a paved road, led by a tall orange-saffron flag carried on a pole.
