A photograph in a temple setting with a golden deity murti on the left, adorned with white, yellow and pink flower garlands, a jewelled crown and green earrings, its hands raised in an anjali-like gesture. On the right stands a man in an orange saffron garment with bare shoulder, long dark swept-back hair and a white tilak on the forehead, smiling and looking toward the deity. Behind him are gilded pillars, floral garlands hanging from a canopy, and a warm yellow wall. Appearance suggests a person with long hair and saffron clothing, standing in devotion before the murti.2006-09-23A photograph of a dimly lit temple shrine with a stage-like platform. Two golden deity murtis sit within an ornate gilded arch decorated with white jasmine garlands and red-and-white flower strands. The figure on the left wears a white dhoti and white cloth draped over the head, with a gold necklace; the figure on the right wears a green garment and crown. Small lamps and flower offerings are placed at their base. To the right stands a large framed portrait labelled in Tamil script, showing a smiling person with a white head covering, red forehead mark and dark garment with silver embroidery. Red flags and a partially visible framed image appear at the left edge, and a few people stand at the far right edge in the shadows.2008-11-11October 10 20062006-10-10A seated man in white ceremonial clothing sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion and a golden canopy, decorated with a multicolour garland, in front of a large red-toned printed banner of a smiling man with long swept-back hair and a red forehead mark. A microphone stands beside the throne on a stage with black drapes, and tinsel decorations and a yellow flower garland lie on the platform. The banner's man has long swept-back hair and a red forehead mark, and a seated man in white with long hair is present on the throne, a cue consistent with the page's reference to a person, so the seated person is a person. Rudraksha beads hang on the banner portrait's chest.2007-02-15July 28 20142014-07-28October 04 20102010-10-04 +1 copiesNovember 11 20062006-11-11A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha-style garland sits on a gold throne framed by a gold canopy draped with white jasmine garlands and yellow marigolds. Above him is an enormous printed portrait of a smiling man with long dark hair and a red-tinted face, and to the left a brass oil lamp burns with a small flame. Orange silk cushions lie at the lower corners of the frame. The figure wears a gold crown, and the setting suggests a stage or ceremonial hall decorated with flowers.2006-12-27September 06 20132013-09-06February 15 20072007-02-15 +1 copiesA dimly lit temple shrine decorated with dense garlands of white jasmine strands and red and orange marigolds. Garlands of white and yellow flowers drape the throne and his neck, and a microphone stands beside him. Behind him hangs a large red-toned printed portrait of a smiling man with a vibhuti or kumkum mark on the forehead and long swept-back hair, with rudraksha beads visible on the chest. Multicolour beaded garlands frame the backdrop, and a stage floor and dark drapes surround the scene. The seated figure is shown only as a priest-like person in white; his identity is not established by appearance cues here.2007-02-15
