In the foreground, a man with a white t-shirt, orange lanyard and rudraksha mala raises both open palms toward a figure seated with long dark hair in a low bun, wearing a rudraksha necklace and an orange-gold garment, shown from behind. A flame of an oil lamp is visible at lower left. Behind them, men in white clothes with orange shawls stand with hands raised, and devotees sit at the back. A red-cloth altar with a decorated metal stand is visible at right.2013-07-20A photograph of a blessing or initiation moment in a temple-style hall. A man in an orange and gold wrap, with a white forehead mark, a golden necklace and a beaded wrist band, extends his right arm and places his palm on the forehead of a man in white kurta clothing with raised hands in an offering gesture. The man in orange holds a small white paper in his left hand. Beside them a woman in white with a rudraksha mala sits in the background, and a golden deity murti or ornate golden object appears in the foreground. Behind them is a shimmering gold-patterned drape. Swamiji (probable): the man in orange wrap with golden necklace and long swept-back hair, performing the blessing.2014-01-04February 08 20122012-02-08A photograph of a Nayana Deeksha-style blessing. A bare-chested man with long swept-back hair, a gold necklace of ornate bead ornaments, rudraksha-style beads and a saffron-orange dhoti-style wrap stands at left, pressing his palm to the forehead of a man in a white kurta with a rudraksha mala and a moustache, whose arms are raised. The blessed man's other palm is open upward. Behind them a seated woman in a white top and another in a patterned orange top watch. A small paper slip is held in the officiant's hand, and a gold deity murti or ornament sits at lower left. The officiant is probable Swamiji, with long hair, a saffron wrap, gold neck ornaments and a sandal-marked forehead.2014-01-04March 30 20142014-03-30February 08 20122012-02-08A photo of a satsang or deeksha moment in a bright hall. On the left, a figure with long dark hair tied back, wearing a rudraksha mala and a gold-trimmed saffron garment, extends a hand toward the chest of a young man. The young man wears a white kurta, a dark rudraksha mala and an event badge, and raises his right hand high with palm open. Behind them a framed portrait shows a saffron-robed sannyasi against a gold-framed backdrop, and seated devotees in the background watch. Appearance-based label: the figure on the left resembles Swamiji (probable), with long swept-back hair, ornate gold and rudraksha adornments; the identification is appearance-based only.2014-03-06Photograph of two men in a bright indoor hall facing each other at close range. On the left, a shaved-headed man in a white kurta wears a red-and-brown beaded mala and raises both palms outward in a greeting gesture. On the right, a long-haired man with a swept-back mane wears a white shawl over a bare shoulder and a gold-coloured garland, and smiles broadly. The second person, facing away, has dark hair pulled back, wears a reddish-orange robe and a rudraksha mala. Behind them a deep red curtain hangs, and another man in white is partly visible at the bottom. The gesture suggests a blessing or initiation moment in a satsang setting.2011-09-10
