April 2008 - Making Of Kailaasa In Tiruvannamalai

Night scene at an open-sided thatched shelter with bamboo and wooden poles, set on sandy ground with mounds of excavated earth. A bald man in saffron-orange robes with a sash stands with his back to the camera, flanked by men in white dhotis and white shirts. One man in white reaches toward the shelter's far side while others look on; a man in grey trousers and a white shirt stands at left and another in white shirt and grey trousers at right. Five to six physical people are visible.

Night-time photograph of three men on a dirt ground beside a thatched-roof hut with lattice panels and strings of decorative garlands. On the left, a man in white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl holds a yellow object. In the centre, an older man with white hair and beard, wearing an orange robe and a rudraksha mala, walks forward. To the right, a man in an orange wrap with a head covering walks barefoot. A plastic chair, a blue bucket and sandals sit near the hut, and a partial figure in orange appears at the far right edge.

A photograph of a group gathered on a dirt path in front of a thatched-roof white building with blue doors and a small fence. A figure in a bright orange dhoti with long, dark, uncovered hair and a bare chest stands at left, pointing toward the group. In the centre, a bearded man in an orange robe and orange turban faces them, with other men in white dhotis and orange shawls around him. On the right, a long-haired man in a yellow robe and a bearded man in orange robes stand near men in white shirts and white dhotis wearing orange shawls. Green trees and a cloudy sky are in the background.

Outdoor photograph of a thatched-roof ashram building with a bamboo lattice wall on a dirt ground. Several men stand around in conversation: one bare-chested young man with long curly hair wears an orange cloth wrap and holds a long bamboo pole, while others wear white shirts and white dhotis, and one wears an orange shawl. Three framed portraits of a smiling bearded man in a white turban hang on the wall, and a man in white stands in the doorway on the left.

Photograph inside a thatched, open-sided shed where a group stands among stone and bronze sculptures on a concrete floor. At left, a man with long dark hair wears an orange robe with a rudraksha mala and smiles as he looks down at the sculptures. Beside him, a figure in orange and a yellow garment stands near a wooden post, and a man in an orange turban and orange robe gestures with one hand. Behind them, bearded men in orange robes and orange turbans stand with men in white shirts and dhotis. At right, a bearded man in a white robe with an orange shawl and a mala stands with hands folded, while another man in white with an orange scarf stands further right. Carved stone figures and fragments lie on the floor in the foreground, with a bronze figure at lower left.

Night-time photo at an outdoor construction site with sandy ground and sandbags at right. A woman in an orange sari with bare arms and a small bun stands at centre, facing a round stone slab. A man in a white kurta with a yellow waist sash crouches beside a large round stone disc, with a pink pot placed nearby, and a flat stone platform sits in the foreground. Around them, several men in white shirts and dhotis, one with a rudraksha mala, watch the work. A printed copyright line appears at lower right.

Outdoor photo at a rustic village-style compound with thatched sheds and palm trees. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a dark rudraksha mala stands centre-right with hands folded at his chest, while a bearded man in a green shawl and a white-clad older man with glasses stand beside saint-like figures in orange. Several robed men in orange and a man in white shirt stand around. In the foreground two men in the lower right crouch on the dirt, working on a wooden object. A blue gas cylinder and a truck are visible in the background. The page references a 30 December 2009 medical camp, but the image itself shows no medical services.
