September 17 20062006-09-17Night outdoor scene at a college courtyard with a bright floodlight and a cream building with windows behind. A long-haired man in a flowing saffron-orange robe stands centre-right, reaching into a large black cooking pot or vessel on a dark table, serving food onto a steel plate. Around him, men in white shirts and dhotis and a woman in a yellow sari and orange blouse hold steel plates and bowls, with others in white and striped shirts nearby. Foliage and small trees frame the background, and a woman in white sits at the right edge with a steel vessel.2006-09-17September 17 20062006-09-17September 17 20062006-09-17September 17 20062006-09-17September 17 20062006-09-17Evening outdoor food serving at an ashram-style courtyard with trees and a white building behind. A woman in a saffron-orange sari, head bowed and eyes closed, sits on the ground at right and receives food from a metal bowl. A man in a white shirt with a dark bead necklace stands centre and ladles green food from a large steel pot, while a young man in a grey checked shirt holds a plate and a grey-haired older man in white stands at the right edge. Several other people, including a woman in a pink-striped dress at left, stand in the background. The woman in orange is an ordained sannyasi-style devotee rather than an identifiable a person candidate, as her cues are limited to clothing without distinctive long hair or crown.2006-09-17September 17 20062006-09-17A photograph of a serving line at an indoor event. A smiling man in an orange saffron turban and orange robe, with long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha-style mala, stands behind a steel pot, serving rice with a ladle onto a steel plate held by a hand at right. Beside him a man in white with a red-and-black beaded necklace wears plastic gloves and works the line. Several other men in white shirts and a teal shirt queue and serve at the counter. A wicker basket of flatbread sits at left, a pink rose lies on the counter, and a steel tray of rice is at lower right.2006-12-15Photograph at an evening outdoor event under blue neon tube lights and a dark tent or pandal roof. A man in a sleeveless saffron-orange robe with a red undergarment stands at a steel-pot table, reaching toward metal vessels while a white-clad older man in a white shirt and dhoti, with a rudraksha-style mala, works at the pots. Behind them a crowd of men in white shirts and dhotis, some wearing name badges, watches. At the right edge a person in orange holds a pink towel and wears a beaded mala. The scene suggests a ritual food or offering preparation, possibly annadan or prasadam distribution.2009-02-28Night-time photograph outdoors near a building with barred windows and foliage. A long-haired man in an orange saffron wrap with a red tilak on his forehead stands at right, looking downward and leaning toward another man.
