February 17 20242024-02-17Four young men stand side by side on a grey carpeted floor in a large conference hall with rows of desks and seated attendees behind them, and projection screens on the back wall. All four wear saffron-orange draped robes, tied dark turbans and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, with white and red tilak marks on their foreheads and orange-and-gold bands on their upper arms. Two men on the left hold a phone and a folder while the man second from right carries a grey shoulder bag. Name badges hang from their necks. The UN emblem is visible on the wall.2024-02-17February 17 20242024-02-17February 17 20242024-02-17February 17 20242024-02-17February 17 20242024-02-17February 17 20242024-02-17A procession on a paved path lined with green shrubs and trees. Four saffron-robed men walk barefoot in a line. The man on the far left holds a tall gold trident, wearing a saffron garment with maroon borders and a beaded garland. In the centre, a long-haired man in an orange robe with a gold-edged hem wears a thick white and red flower garland, a layered rudraksha mala and a gold pendant, and his hands are clasped in front of him. To his right, a shaved-headed man in orange holds a gold staff with a carved top and wears a flower garland. On the far right, a young man in orange holds a small object at his chest and wears a white flower garland. The scene reads as a devotional procession during a temple celebration.2008-12-28Outdoor photograph on a sandy, tyre-marked clearing beside a wire-fenced boundary with trees behind.
