A rocky mountain path cuts across a steep slope above a forested valley in the Himalayas, with grey sky and misty peaks behind. On the right, a figure in an orange-saffron robe and an orange turban sits in a palanquin-style seat carried on wooden poles by several men in plain dark and grey clothing, one wearing a knitted cap. The carriers walk single file along the loose gravel and boulder track. A few other figures in orange garments walk alongside.2004-06-21June 21 2004 Himalayas Yatra - Gangotri, Gaurikund and Kedarnath2004-06-21A misty mountain trail climbs through a Himalayan valley lined with conifers and rocky slopes. A narrow dirt path with stone-edged retaining walls winds up the left side, where a small group of people, several wearing orange clothing, walks in the distance. Clouds hang low over the peaks, and a rocky riverbed stretches along the right. The scene suggests a pilgrimage route in the Uttarakhand hills.2004-06-21June 2004 Himalayan Yatra - Gomukh2004-06-18 +1 copiesJune 21 2004 Himalayas Yatra - Gangotri, Gaurikund and Kedarnath2004-06-21June 2004 Himalayan Yatra - Gomukh2004-06-18 +1 copiesA group of devotees in saffron-orange shawls and turbans trek across a rocky, grey glacial moraine beneath misty mountain slopes, as on a pilgrimage to Gangotri. The man on the left wears a red jacket and white dhoti and carries a white bag. The man on the right wears a white kurta with a red-and-blue striped head wrap and carries a red bundle. Small buildings and a red-and-white tower appear in the distance.2010-09-27June 2004 Himalayan Yatra - Gomukh2004-06-18 +1 copiesA photograph of a group of pilgrims walking single file along a narrow dirt path cut into a steep rock face on a mountain trek. On the left, a red-and-white metal railing borders the drop into green forested valley under a partly cloudy sky. Several people wear saffron-orange robes, including a figure in orange at the front and another at the right edge, while others wear casual jackets, trousers and shawls. A person near the center carries a small bundle. The rock wall rises on the right with patches of greenery. The scene suggests a pilgrimage trail with monastic-style robes, though no individual is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance.2006-05-24May 24 20062006-05-24June 2004 Himalayan Yatra - Gomukh2004-06-18 +1 copies
