A photograph of a ritual where a seated person in orange and saffron robes holds a silver aarti lamp with a burning flame in one hand and a silver bell in the other. A person in an orange sari with gold border and gold bangles holds a silver ladle-shaped vessel with a spouted cup, pouring liquid into a brass bowl. Beside the bowl stands a lit oil lamp on a small silver tray, surrounded by white jasmine-like flowers laid on a row of reddish-brown bricks that frame a fire pit. Green banana leaves lie on the ground behind, and blurred figures in white clothes and camera tripods appear in the background.2011-11-10November 10 20112011-11-10January 08 20122012-01-08Close-up photo of a ritual flame being lit in a puja. Behind them, a deity murti is decorated with red and white flower garlands and yellow marigolds, with a silver kalasha and fruit arrangement in front. Silver vessels and a white cloth sit on the foreground table. The scene reads as a puja with abhishekam-style offerings.2013-05-17A photograph of a ritual setting on a brass table with a silver multi-wick oil lamp being lit. Two hands, one holding a lit taper, are tending the flames of the lamp; the sleeve of one arm shows bangles and the visible person wears a rust-red cloth and a beaded rudraksha mala with gold ornaments. Surrounding the lamp are silver and brass bowls containing yellow turmeric or kumkum powder, a covered silver vessel, a small silver cup with incense sticks, and a shallow dish with pink flower petals. Behind the table a striped silk cloth wraps a tall white candle, and incense smoke rises through the air. Blurred yellow-edged platform and glittering shrine decorations fill the background.2017-09-28 +1 copiesDecember 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesApril 24 20122012-04-24
