A man in orange robes, a saffron turban and rudraksha mala sits on a cushioned bench at left, speaking to the group. A woman in a white top and dark trousers kneels before him, holding orange cloth. Around them many seated devotees wear orange shawls and sit on the floor or on cushions, some in white, pink and green clothes. Around them, a group of devotees sit on the ground in orange shawls and saffron-coloured clothing, several with palms pressed together in namaste. A woman in a red cap and sunglasses sits at left, and green trees, potted plants and a white wall form the background. The gathering appears to be a devotional sharing or prasad offering. The man in orange is described here as a robed sannyasi; his identity is not established from appearance.2011-07-30Outdoor rooftop scene under a dark umbrella with hillside trees behind. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, smiling and gesturing with his hands toward a kneeling man in white dhoti with gold borders. A white-robed man with a mala stands with hands pressed together, and women in saris, one in black with a patterned sari, sit or stand nearby; a man in red shirt presses his palms together at right. A central young man with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a crossbody saffron wrap, sits cross-legged with hands folded in meditation; his appearance is a probable candidate for a person by his long swept hair and saffron clothing, though the identification is uncertain. Around him thirty to forty devotees sit on stone, many in white with orange shawls, some with hands in prayer. A woman in a white sari with orange shawl sits beside him, and two men in orange robes sit lower right, one holding a small object. Many more devotees fill the background among the trees.2008-08-03July 15 20122012-07-15Night-time outdoor ritual at Adi Kailasa, Bengaluru. A man in orange robes sits on a red cushioned seat wearing a long brown rudraksha mala, holding a shallow plate, while a man in a white dhoti and orange shawl ties or adjusts a cord around an orange cloth held by another robed attendant. A brass vessel with a green leaf sits on a small wooden table at left. Several devotees in white and orange shawls, some holding rudraksha malas, stand behind. The scene resembles a flag-hoisting or ceremonial tying of a sacred cloth.2008-03-26July 29 20112011-07-29A smiling man sits outdoors in front of dense green foliage, laughing broadly with his hands clasped at his lap. He wears a red-orange robe with gold-edged borders, an orange shawl draped over his shoulders, a dark brown high-necked top, and a red bindi on his forehead. Behind him, a figure in white with an orange shawl stands, and at the right edge a person in a white floral-print kurta with an orange wrap and a gold bangle is partly visible.
