He has white ash markings on his forehead and arms and a red bindi, and gold bangles and rings on his hands. He wears a gold bead headband, a gold bead necklace over an orange garment, a red bindi and white marks on his forehead, and small earrings. Behind him is an ornate gold throne with carved peetha detailing. Microphones labelled with Tamil TV channel logos, including Jaya TV, GTV SPV, Polimer and News channels, crowd the foreground. An orange-clad figure and a person holding papers are partly visible at the left edge.2012-05-17May 12 20122012-05-12A photograph of a shaved-headed, thin elderly man seated on a golden throne before a press gathering. He wears a rudraksha headband, a red bindi and white ash markings, gold earrings, a long rudraksha mala with a gold ornament, and an orange-red shawl over orange garments; his torso is bare. Behind him gilded carvings of a lion-form throne are visible. In the foreground stacked microphones bear logos of several Tamil television channels, indicating a media interaction. Given the page's a person flag, his appearance with rudraksha malas and ceremonial gold but shaved head and no crown is only partially consistent with the page, so the identity is uncertain and he is described by role as a seated sannyasi addressing the press.2012-05-12
