September 27 20102010-09-27Outdoor photo of a mountain village street with a steep green hillside and pale sky behind. Several people in orange and saffron robes sit on a raised step beside a brick building. A seated man in an orange turban and rudraksha-style beaded necklace rests his chin on his hand, while a bald man in orange shawl sits in the foreground beside a woman in a blue jacket. A man in a white and orange robe stands at left near a small roadside shop with hanging goods. Other figures sit close by, with a pole and small shop stalls visible in the background.2010-09-27A photograph taken outdoors on a hillside street lined with small shops and stone buildings, with a mountain slope behind. A man in an orange knitted cap, orange robes, a red tilak mark on his forehead, and a long gold-beaded mala necklace stands leaning against a brick pillar, one hand raised to his chin in a thoughtful pose. Around him, saffron-robed men stand and sit: a bald man in orange with glasses seen from behind on the left, a man in red and orange sitting with a white cloth bag, and a man with short hair in orange on the right. A cow stands among the people on the street, and a small stone wall and a tented stall appear in the background.2010-09-27September 27 20102010-09-27A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on a white plastic chair in front of white metal shutter doors with brick pillars, eyes lowered, hands folded over a small silver tray or book on his lap. He wears a saffron knitted cap and a double strand of large gold-coloured beads around his neck. He has red-orange lower garments and white-and-grey sneakers. In the foreground, a bald man in an orange top and a person in a beige knitted cap and grey jacket sit with their backs partly turned. At the lower right, a trident and a staff with a snake-head finial rest against the wall beside a plastic water bottle.2010-09-27September 27 20102010-09-27Photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange clothing wearing an orange knit beanie and a red bindi on his forehead. He sits against a pale brick wall beside a barred window, one hand raised to his mouth in a thoughtful pose. A thick gold-toned necklace of beads hangs on his chest. Two shaven-headed men in orange robes sit in the foreground with their backs to the camera, listening to him. The setting appears to be a simple outdoor step at an ashram or temple area.2010-09-27Photograph in a two-band layout: upper frame shows a man in an orange turban-style cap with a red tilak dot, orange shawl and a gold beaded necklace, one hand raised to his mouth, standing before a brick wall and white doorway; a man with a wicker basket on the left and a shaved-head man at right edge are partly visible. Lower band is a close, red-tinted view of several people in orange and red robes. The upper figure's appearance cues are a turban, orange clothing and a gold ornamental necklace, which are not sufficient to confirm an identity, so the figure is described by role only.2010-09-27A group of devotees walks along a stone-paved street past a pink-washed building with a red swastika-like Hindu symbol painted on it and Devanagari lettering on the wall. In the centre, a young man in a saffron-orange turban, orange shawl and orange sannyasi robes carries a grey backpack and walks beside others in orange and white. A bearded older man in an orange sweater and orange shawl stands to the right, and a man in white kurta and dhoti with an orange shawl walks at the far left. Two women in orange shawls follow behind. Other members of the group are partly visible, carrying bags and an umbrella.2008-07-08December 07 20072007-12-07December 11 20092009-12-11Outdoor photo of a group descending a wide stone staircase, many wearing orange shawls. In the foreground a man in a long-sleeved red-orange top and orange wrap walks down the steps, flanked by a man in an orange wrap with a red-brown border and a bag strap. Behind them a man in white kurta and orange shawl and a man in white with an orange shawl and a bag are walking, and a bearded man in white dhoti and orange shawl holds a walking staff. Two women in white tops with orange scarves stand among the group. A red-painted wall and posters on the right; a few other people with orange wraps are visible at the left edge. The foreground man has long hair tied back and appears to be a person by appearance cues: long hair and orange ceremonial clothing, though the image is not conclusive.2008-07-02
