Night-time photo of a devotional ritual at a temple-like shrine. Several priests in white dhotis and cream shawls stand in a row with palms pressed together in namaskar, some wearing rudraksha or beaded malas. One priest on the right extends an arm toward an altar decorated with gold-coloured and red deity figures, garlands and drapery. Yellow and red marigold garlands lie in the foreground next to a bowl and offerings. A bright round lamp hangs at the top left, and a partly visible older man in white with a red-bordered shawl stands at the left edge. The scene is dark and lit mainly by the lamp and altar lights.2015-02-19Night outdoor ritual scene lit by a single bright lamp on a pole. A bare-chested man with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala stands at right, holding out a leafy garland-like offering toward a seated older man in a white shirt in the foreground. Behind them several people in pale and saffron-toned dhotis stand with palms pressed together in anjali. A red curtain hangs on the right, and a small table holds a plate and bowls of offerings. The a person appearance cues are a bare-chested figure with long hair and mala, but the face is in shadow and identity is uncertain, so this is recorded as unsure. Visible people number about six to eight.2015-02-19February 19 20152015-02-19Night photograph of a temple procession at Adikailaasa, Bengaluru. In the foreground, a bare-chested man in an orange cloth bends low to arrange small clay pots and kalasha vessels on the paved floor. Behind them, a man in white holds a silver tray of marigold and flower garlands, and a standing figure holds a large platter of offerings. A fire glows at the right edge beside yellow-and-orange flower garlands and rows of offering bundles. The scene suggests a puja or kalasha ceremony; the people are devotees and ritual attendants, and no clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2017-07-08July 20 20102010-07-20A dim temple hall shows a ritual in progress before a lit deity murti with a large white and gold ornate backdrop and a peacock-feather-style umbrella canopy.
