The man in front wears a white vest and white dhoti, bent over a flat metal tray, carefully setting small cream-coloured pieces into a raised pattern with a fine pointed tool. Behind him, a second man in a white vest and grey trousers, wearing a rudraksha-style bead necklace and a red thread on his wrist, works on a similar tray. A wooden block sits in front of them with loose small pieces scattered on it, and a metal tray of more pieces lies at left.2013-11-29Photo 11698305Photo 11698430 +1 copiesTwo men sit on a street-side step hammering and chiselling small copper-coloured temple vessels set on stone or clay supports. The man on the left wears a white sleeveless vest and a blue-and-white checked lungi and holds a chisel to a rounded vessel. The man on the right wears a grey short-sleeved shirt and a checked lungi and works on a vessel resting on a dark clay block. Scattered metal tools lie on the pavement. Behind them a green sign reads Temple Metal, and a sack and a dark doorway are visible. Hands and tools are central in this craftsmanship scene.July 13 20132013-07-13November 20 20162016-11-20Two men work seated at wooden benches in a workshop with yellow-painted walls, a fan and cylinder tanks behind them. The man on the left wears a white checked shirt and dark sarong and holds a tool over a small piece of work. The man in the centre wears a lilac checked shirt and dark cloth and bends over a small object with a tool. On the bench sit small brass-coloured pieces, a round medallion, a blue bowl and a wooden block. Plastic bags, a wall shelf and a bucket fill the background.2016-12-12A workshop photograph inside a covered open-sided hall where two men work on metal sculpture near a row of deity murti statues. On the left, a bare-chested man in a white sleeveless vest and white dhoti with a red thread on his wrist holds a tool over a metal pot with a blowing torch and burning charcoal, possibly soldering or casting metal. On the right, a man in a blue t-shirt and white dhoti sits cross-legged on a wooden board with tools and a red gas cylinder beside him. Behind them stand gilded and orange-robed deity statues on carved wooden pedestals, with framed religious prints on the wall and garlands at the left edge.2016-11-18July 14 20132013-07-14
