Several shaved-headed men in orange cloth stand close by. A devotee in white offers a long pink flower garland in the foreground, and a man in white with glasses bends toward the crowd. Some people carry a tray of flowers and offerings. A central figure in an orange saffron robe and orange head wrap wears a long white jasmine garland and a rudraksha mala, and walks barefoot. Around him, men in white shirts and white dhotis walk alongside; one holds a red and white banner with an emblem. On the right, a man in white dhoti and shirt wears an orange shawl and a rudraksha mala and gestures toward the group. A small temple shrine with colourful decoration is visible at upper left.2006-11-25Outdoor procession on a dirt ground with a large crowd. A central man with long dark swept-back hair wears a saffron-orange robe and a long garland of white flowers with multicoloured ribbon-like accents, smiling and walking forward; the appearance is consistent with the a person cues of long hair, saffron clothing and a flower garland. To his left an older man in white dhoti and shirt with a green shawl walks with a cane, and devotees in white, black shirts and saffron robes follow. A metal scaffold frame and trees stand behind the crowd, which numbers roughly 50 to 100 visible people.2006-12-25Outdoor photo at a temple entrance with teal-painted columns and a barred gate behind. A man in an orange shawl and ochre clothing, with a tilak on his forehead and a rudraksha mala, carries a large garland of marigolds and red flowers. Beside him a man in a white shirt with a pendant necklace gestures toward a silver car. Other men in white dhotis and shirts and a woman in a red sari stand nearby. The person in orange has distinctive long swept-back hair and ceremonial orange-and-gold attire, so an appearance-based label applies: a person, in person, carried garlanded through the crowd.2012-09-11August 03 20092009-08-03
