A night-time scene in a plain whitewashed courtyard, lit with a bluish cast. Several women in white saris and white dhotis serve food from large steel pots onto steel plates, standing near a green-legged stool and a metal pot of cooked food. A young woman in a white top and white dupatta stands at the centre, and a woman in a white sari with gold border ladles food beside her. An elderly woman with grey hair in a white cloth and an older woman in a blue sari receive portions, while a young boy in a striped shirt waits in front of the serving pot. A man in a pink-and-blue checked shawl stands at the left edge. Devotee-style white clothing and a pole and wire overhead suggest an ashram-style annadan food distribution.
