August 09 20072007-08-09May 16 20112011-05-16Indoor photograph of a hall decorated with marigold garlands strung along the ceiling and a wooden frame, with a small deity murti displayed in a flower-decorated alcove at right. A man in a saffron-orange turban and sleeveless saffron robe, with a rudraksha mala and long hair falling past his shoulders, holds a carved wooden figure while a bald man in white kurta with a yellow shawl and rudraksha mala stands beside him holding a small bundle. Behind them a third man in a light shirt stands and several seated men in white are visible at left. Hanging saffron and patterned cloth lanterns decorate the ceiling.2010-02-18January 08 20122012-01-08A seated man with long dark hair wears an orange saffron dhoti and a shawl draped over his shoulder, reaching to accept a plate of food from a standing sannyasi in orange robes. Two men in white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas sit or stand at the edges, and a bald man in orange kneels at the lower right. A seated man in a white shirt holds a small item in the foreground. The room has a red draped backdrop, a blue floor and a green mat, with a pair of sandals on the floor. The seated man's distinctive long hair, orange robes and rudraksha-adorned attendants suggest a person receiving offering in a ritual setting.2012-01-02A photograph of an indoor event where a man in an orange-saffron robe with long, swept-back dark hair sits on a red-cushioned golden throne with an ornate gilt backrest, one hand raised in greeting while smiling. Facing him, a man in white shirt and trousers with a beaded wrist band and gold chain holds a small rolled item toward him. Beside them, a seated man in white dhoti with an orange shawl sits on the floor on a red rug, and a monk in orange robes stands behind a white table holding a tray. Several men in white shirts and a man in a yellow shawl stand around the room, with a dark blue curtain behind. A platter of fruit sits on the right.2010-09-05Indoor photo in a hall with a deep red curtain behind. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange sleeveless robe, orange wrap and dark rudraksha mala, sits smiling on a pale green cushioned seat with red bolsters, extending his hand. A middle-aged man in a white shirt and green shawl bends forward to take a red fruit from him. Behind them stand two men in white dhotis: one bald with a gold-beaded necklace, the other bald with an orange shawl. A white fabric canopy and a wooden door are visible at left. The orange-robed seated man appears to be a probable Swamiji (long swept-back hair, orange robe and rudraksha mala), so this is an appearance-based label only.2010-08-04A photograph inside a small whitewashed shrine room decorated with strings of red and white flowers and a red-orange floral arch. A tall man in an orange robe and orange turban, wearing a rudraksha mala, stands center and is lit by a small flame held near a red-and-pink mat. A man in an orange robe kneels on the floor near a red brass elephant figure, and a woman in a white-and-red sari kneels with her head bowed in front of the pair. Several men in white shirts and dhotis stand around with hands folded in namaste or gesturing, one in a pink shirt in the background. Flower petals and a kalasha-like offering lie on the floor.2008-07-28April 30 20162016-04-30A photograph inside a hall with a red velvet backdrop and a white cushioned seat. A smiling long-haired man in an orange sleeveless robe sits on a red-upholstered chair, his hand raised near his shoulder. Standing beside him is a bald man in white kurta and dhoti with an orange shawl and rudraksha-style beaded necklace, and a younger man in white with an orange shawl. On the left, a man in a white checked shirt holds a banana and a half-peeled fruit. A tray of bananas sits on a table behind them, and a few more people stand in the background. The sitter's orange robe and long swept-back hair are distinctive, consistent with the page's a person reference, though the appearance is only partly clear.2010-07-23A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a pink and white flower garland and gold ornaments, on a gilded throne with floral decorations and a gold relief backdrop. A man in a white kurta with a lanyard and badge leans forward with his arm raised, reaching toward the seated figure, while a bald older man in orange robes and gold earrings stands behind. A woman in white with a yellow shawl stands at the left edge. Garlands of marigolds and roses decorate the setting. Probable Swamiji seated on the throne, with distinctive saffron robes, long hair, garland and gold ornaments.2009-12-24A seated man in saffron-orange robes, with long swept-back dark hair and bare arms, sits on an ornate gilded throne with red cushions and receives an offering from a man in a white shirt and white dhoti who bows forward and holds out a small red fruit or offering with both hands. Behind them stands another man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala. Brass oil lamps, flower petals and a small plate sit on the floor in front, and a standing fan and orange and red drapes fill the background. The appearance-based Swamiji (probable) cues are the saffron robe, long hair and gilded throne, applied to the seated figure receiving the offering.2009-12-06
