Several men stand around him under an open metal-framed roof with climbing leaves overhead. The man on the left wears a rudraksha headband, a heavy gold necklace with a large pendant, gold armbands and a sacred-ash marking on his forehead and arms, and smiles while his hands rest clasped in his lap. Beside him an elderly, bald, bare-chested man in saffron cloth with a gold-bead necklace and rudraksha mala sits with eyes lowered, receiving the moment in quiet stillness. Behind them several men in white dhotis with sacred ash and saffron shawls sit or stand, and a brass vessel is visible near the seated figures. Stone architecture forms the backdrop. The scene reads as a temple-yard ritual or satsang with the two seated men at the centre.2012-06-05A seated central figure in a dark maroon dhoti with gold border, a bright orange-red turban, layered gold necklaces and a large gold pendant, hands joined, eyes closed. His hands rest folded in his lap and his bare feet rest on an orange cushioned footstool with a brown mat. Behind him are carved grey stone pillars and a red and white wall, with a brass plate of offerings at the left edge. The figure's appearance is consistent with the orange robe, rudraksha mala and throne cues, though the page does not confirm the identity.2010-07-19May 14 20122012-05-14 +1 copies
