Outdoor scene at a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots hanging from its wide canopy. Many children and young people in ordinary clothes, including a boy in an orange shirt, a boy in a white-and-blue checked shirt, and a girl in a floral top, move around a sandy courtyard. Near the tree a black stone deity murti stands on a pedestal, draped with a red and orange flower garland. Beside it a large rough rock sits on a black-and-white tiled base. A man in a pink shirt and white dhoti stands at the right edge, and a few others are visible in the background near the tree trunk.2008-04-04April 04 20082008-04-04April 04 20082008-04-04A photograph at a large banyan tree with many aerial roots hanging and wrapping around its trunk. Beneath the tree a small stone shrine opening with a dark interior sits near the base. A young woman with long dark hair wears an orange saffron wrap over a red top and walks barefoot toward the shrine. Around her, several people stand in a loose group on bare earth: a boy in a pink shirt and blue jeans, a man in a blue shirt and white trousers, a man in grey with glasses, a woman in a maroon sari with a handbag, and a man in an orange robe with a beaded necklace at the right edge. Several figures appear to be devotees visiting the shrine. No a person candidate is clearly identifiable by appearance here.2007-12-20A group of children and teenagers walks along a dirt path beneath a large spreading banyan tree with aerial roots at left. A boy in an orange t-shirt with a white graphic and the word 'CHECKPOINT' stands in front, holding a folded paper. Behind him a teen in a red shirt and dark trousers holds a pamphlet, and others wear red, yellow and blue tops, with a wire mesh fence and open ground behind them.2008-04-04Outdoor photo beneath a massive old banyan tree with many thick hanging aerial roots and sprawling branches. A crowd of roughly two dozen devotees stands and walks on bare dusty ground. Many wear white dhotis and white saris, while women in red, green and patterned saris are also present. At the right edge, a dark stone or metal deity murti draped in orange cloth sits on a red stone base beside a tall pillar. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands near the murti, and a boy in a light shirt stands in the middle distance. Nobody in the scene is clearly identifiable as a person; the seated figure is a murti wrapped in orange cloth.2007-05-04February 23 20082008-02-23April 04 20082008-04-04Outdoor photograph of a massive banyan tree with dense hanging aerial roots and a wide canopy over a dirt ground with red soil and construction blocks. On the left, an elderly man in a checked white shirt, dark lungi and a light shawl stands near a low brick wall. In the centre, several men stand together under the branches: one in a saffron-orange robe, one in a white shirt and dhoti, and one in white with an orange shawl, with a person in white clothes partly visible behind them. Large grey boulders lie in the foreground and a whitewashed wall stands in the background.2008-03-25September 11 20162016-09-11Outdoor photo beneath a huge old banyan tree with thick aerial roots and spreading branches.
