Photograph of a ceremonial gathering in a hall with red draped curtains and a gold-framed carved panel behind. Many men stand with their backs to the camera, mostly bare-chested, wearing white dhotis with gold borders and white shoulder cloths; several have shaved or close-cropped heads. Three large umbrellas with blue and teal brocade canopies, gold embroidery and crystal fringe are held above the group. At the far left, a seated figure in orange and white garlands sits on a white-and-red throne, distant from the camera. A brass trident and a kalasha-like finial appear at the right. Overall, a procession or darshan-style gathering with attendants under umbrellas.2017-08-11Photograph of a ceremonial gathering in a hall with red draped curtains and gold-patterned side panels. In the foreground, several men with bare upper bodies wear white dhotis with gold borders and white shawls, seen from behind, with some in white upper garments. Two large ornate umbrellas, one royal blue and one turquoise with gold brocade and beaded fringe, are held above the procession.
