A photograph of a marble-floored hall with wooden cubby shelves along the right wall, folded cloths and a sack on the shelves. A bare-chested man in an orange dhoti-style wrap sweeps the grey-and-white tiled floor with a broom, bending forward. A dark doorway and steps lie at the back, with a bundle of coloured cloth at the left edge. A timestamp overlay reads Feb 4, 2022 at 10:46:01 AM, 6, Amman Sanadhi Street, Madurai. No visible cues establish the person's identity, so the figure is described only by role as a worker sweeping.

Photograph of an interior temple space in Madurai at 28 Amman Sanadhi Street, timestamped Feb 6, 2022 at 12:45:32 PM. A person in a red garment is bent over sweeping or cleaning the grey stone floor with a long-handled broom. Behind them are a metal railing, gold-coloured deity murtis and a tall trident, with a colourful cloth banner hanging on the right. A wooden cupboard and metal shelving stand against the wall. The person is seen only in silhouette and is not visibly a person, so the a person field is none. Ritual cleaning of the shrine area appears to be the activity.

Photo taken inside a marble-floored hall at 30 Amman Sanadhi Street, Madurai, timestamped Jan 26, 2022 11:20:30 AM. A man with a shaved head and bare upper body, wearing an orange-red dhoti or wrap, stands at left beside a metal bucket, facing a cabinet with glass-fronted shelves and small brass lamps. Behind him a staircase with metal railings leads up, a large round gold-toned carved panel hangs on the far wall, and rolled padded fabric and wrapped furniture or wooden items are stacked along the right side, with a bundle of red, green and pink tassels visible at lower right.

A man in a grey short-sleeved shirt and dark shorts, barefoot, sprays down a stone platform with a high-pressure water hose. He stands on a pale blue-washed floor in front of red and white striped steps, with water pooling on the ground. Behind him are brass pots on a grey stone ledge and white metal railings.

A woman in an orange long-sleeved top and orange leggings is bent over a dirt patch in an overgrown garden, using a tool to dig or clear soil beside a chain-link fence with climbing vines. A red-painted building, palm trees and a tall tree stand in the background under a partly cloudy sky. A timestamp in the corner reads 02-Dec-2020 10:14:09 AM and the label AP side cleaning. She is barefoot and wears a bangle on her wrist.

Photograph of orange-robed sannyasis sweeping a stone temple colonnade with long straw brooms. Four men in saffron-orange cloth are working; the front-right man holds a long broom angled toward the pillars, wears a teal head cloth and a rudraksha-style neck mala, and has white dressings on his upper arm. Others in orange wraps and teal caps sweep the granite pillars and carved stone ledge. Onlookers in white and pink shirts stand behind them on a brick and dirt courtyard beside a tiered gopuram and a yellow-washed wall. Sunlit, cleaning-seva style scene.
