Saffron-robed sannyasis stand with hands folded in anjali mudra, and many young saffron-clad boys with shaved heads and white tilak on their foreheads stand among them. Foreground figures include a shaved-headed man in white dhoti with gold border and rudraksha mala holding a silver vessel, a man in rust-coloured robe with orange shawl and rudraksha malas, a bespectacled man in saffron robe holding a long wooden staff, and a man in saffron robe wearing a marigold and red-flower garland. No one is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance; roles are priest, sannyasis and devotees during a padapuja-style ceremony.
