A photograph of a homa fire ceremony in front of a red-draped stage. In the foreground, a bright fire burns beside a brass vessel with a ladle and brass oil lamps. Behind the fire, marigold and yellow flower garlands drape over several deity murtis, including a multi-armed goddess with a trident and a lion, and a figure with an orange turban and rudraksha-style necklace. A seated man in orange-saffron robes and a rudraksha mala sits on a golden throne decorated with yellow and red flowers. His appearance is consistent with the candidate figure, so this is a person in person seated on the throne. Gold and white decorative arches frame the scene, and a microphone stands at the front.

A photograph of a temple-style ritual stage draped in red fabric with garlands and a gold-framed throne. Seated on the throne is a figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha-style necklace and bare-skinned upper body, hands folded in front. In the foreground a man in a brown-orange robe stands with his back to the camera beside a small fire pit with a flame and brass bowls. Behind them stand a white-framed deity murti of a multi-armed goddess with a lion, another deity figure in orange and white, and a garlanded murti in green and pink on the right. Brass oil lamps, flowers and a microphone are arranged on the platform.

A photograph of a homa at night in a decorated tent hall with a red backdrop. Beside a large sacred fire on a low altar, a figure in a long saffron-brown robe stands with arms raised, and a seated figure in a brown garment sits on a golden throne-like seat draped with flowers. Behind them stands a large deity murti of a goddess with multiple arms, mounted on a lion, with garlands and a golden arch. Brass lamps, kalasha-style vessels, fruit offerings and marigold garlands cover the altar. A woman in white and red sits at the left edge near brass pots. Rows of seated devotees in white and orange clothing face the altar from the foreground, and a camera rig is visible at the right.

Night fire ritual under a decorated red and gold canopy. A man in saffron-orange robes and a bare chest stands at left holding a tiered brass aarti lamp with a flame toward a fire pit. In front of him a sacred fire blazes on a yellow block, with brass vessels, fruit, flowers, and banana leaves on the floor. Behind, a seated figure in orange garments with hands joined sits on a gold throne decorated with marigold garlands. Flanking the throne are a white-framed deity murti and another garlanded deity figure. A seated woman in white sits at left near a red cushioned seat. Strings of garlands hang from the canopy.

A night-time homa at a decorated open-sided tent shrine. In the foreground a standing priest in a saffron-orange dhoti and wrap holds up a tall multi-tier brass aarti lamp with lit flames toward the altar. A large fire burns in a yellow-bordered fire pit surrounded by marigold garlands, brass bowls and fresh leaves. Behind, a painted deity murti of Goddess Durga riding a lion stands against a white-framed backdrop. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe sits on an ornate gold throne with garlands. To the right, a deity murti is adorned with white flower garlands. Red and gold cloth drapes the ceiling and walls, and speakers and brass lamps stand on the stage. A seated figure in white is partly visible at left.

Indoor temple-style stage with white floor and yellow brick fire pit where a homa is being performed. A priest in an orange-saffron dhoti stands at the fire, tending flames with a long ladle. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe with folded hands sits on a gold-and-red throne at left, beside a bowl and lamp. Behind the fire, deity murtis sit on gold-arched thrones draped in colourful marigold and flower garlands, and a figure in white and pink bends to offer or adjust a lamp before them. Red and white flower petals scatter the floor and a dark red curtain hangs at the back.

Photograph of a night Navaratri worship setting under a corrugated roof at an ashram temple. A seated man in a ceremonial silver-and-gold throne with a silver umbrella canopy sits before a fire pit, hands joined in namaskar, wearing a yellow-gold shawl and a garland of white and orange flowers. A standing man in a red-orange robe at right holds a ceremonial tray, possibly a conch or offering vessel. Behind them stand deity murtis: a goddess in gold and yellow sari with a crown and lotus, another deity beside her, and a blue figure with a lion mount at left. Silver ornamented furniture with leopard-print cushions, a brass oil lamp, marigold and rose garlands, and a striped floor cloth complete the scene. Two to five physical people are visible.

A night ritual photograph in a temple-style pavilion decorated with orange and red cloth and garlands. A standing priest in an orange dhoti and orange shawl, with a rudraksha-style necklace, performs a ritual gesture over a fire pit with his hands; a seated priest in orange clothes beside him joins palms in prayer. Before them is a brass fire pit with a small flame, surrounded by silver and brass ritual implements, a kalasha-style brass lamp, fruits, a plate of grain and lime-coloured leaves. Behind the altar stands a decorated deity murti with a multi-armed goddess image, flanked by garlanded murtis dressed in yellow and gold, on a golden throne with floral garlands. Oil lamps and brass lamps stand on the raised platform. Two people are visible.

A photograph of a ritual on a white stage with a fire pit of yellow bricks in the foreground, flames rising from it. A bare-chested priest in an orange-saffron cloth stands centre, holding a lit lamp aloft with both hands. To the right, a man in a white dhoti and red-and-white flower garland stands beside a seated figure in red garments. On the left, a seated man in red and gold clothing sits on an ornate golden throne with lion motifs, garlanded in red and orange flowers. Behind them are three decorated golden shrines or thrones draped with red and orange marigold garlands, holding deity murtis, with maroon curtains and stage lights above. Small brass vessels and petals lie on the floor, and a man in orange kneels with folded hands at the far left edge.

A photograph of a temple-style ritual stage hung with red cloth. Two deity murtis, a male and female pair, stand in the centre on a golden pedestal, both draped in garlands of yellow, red and white flowers. Seated on an ornate golden throne behind them is a figure in an orange robe and beaded necklace, with a head covering; the pose and clothing are consistent with a sannyasi, but identity is uncertain. To the left, a multi-armed goddess murti stands in a painted arch with attendant figures. To the right, a golden arched shrine holds a smaller garlanded deity. In the foreground a seated priest in orange robes with a microphone performs the ritual beside a stone basin, with brass lamps and vessels of water with mango leaves arranged in front.
