May 30 20122012-05-30A photograph inside a long stone colonnade of a temple corridor, with carved pillars on both sides and a colourful painted ceiling strip overhead. Two men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in the foreground, one reaching up toward the ceiling or wall with a cleaning tool or cloth while the other stands beside him. Further down the corridor a woman in an orange sari and another person in light clothing are visible near a dark temple doorway. A wall clock is mounted high on the pillar, and a small notice board hangs on the left wall.2012-05-30May 30 20122012-05-30A photograph inside an old stone temple hall. A man in ordinary white clothes with an orange-bordered dhoti stands on a wooden ladder and reaches upward with a long cleaning pole, while a second person in white stands nearby. Weathered stone pillars and an open doorway with a metal grille frame the scene, with bare grey plaster walls showing wear from disrepair. The setting suggests temple renovation and cleaning work in progress.2012-05-30Photo 11729556 +1 copiesPhoto 11734146Photo 11730528 +1 copiesPhoto 11729124Photo 11730533A photograph of a stone temple doorway with blue-painted wooden doors held open, leading into a dim inner passage. In the foreground a barefoot man in a flowing saffron-orange robe walks toward the camera, with long hair, a white tilak mark on his forehead and bare upper arms marked with white paste. Behind him a man in a white dhoti and an orange shawl, wearing a rudraksha mala, walks with other people in orange and white clothing. Further inside, a tall brass oil lamp stands near a group of people, some carrying a tray of offerings. Carved stone pillars and a stone corbel frame the entrance.2009-01-29Photo 11731587 +1 copiesJuly 14 20092009-07-14
