Behind the murti a blue-green draped curtain and a red cloth are visible.2009-07-01A decorated deity murti, not a living person, is the main subject: a dark stone figure dressed in an orange and gold-bordered cloth wrapped as a turban-like crown, topped with a red rose. A golden multi-hooded serpent canopy with five green-jewelled hoods arches overhead. The figure wears a white and gold sash, a jewelled gold band with diamond-like stones, a red-and-green jewelled pendant, and a long rudraksha mala draped across the chest. Thick white jasmine garlands and red flower garlands frame the figure, and a gold kalasha-style ornament sits at the base. Blurred pink fabric and gold decor fill the background.2012-04-26April 18 20122012-04-18 +1 copies
