In front are an open brass box with compartments, a small brass kalasha-style pot with a spout, brass plates holding a lit oil lamp, pink flowers and a white cloth. A green matchbox lies on a woven mat. Only the hands, lap and forearm with a gold bangle and red thread are visible; the face is not shown.2017-02-02Close photo of a person's right hand holding a small brass oil lamp (deepam) with a lit flame, positioned over a brass puja tray on a maroon woven mat. The hand bears a black tattoo of a trident with a damaru drum and a crescent, and a thin gold bangle on the wrist. The wearer's cream-coloured garment sleeve and bare arm are visible at the right edge. Behind the tray are small brass bowls, a white dish with a green leaf, pink flower petals, and a lavender cloth. Activity suggests an aarti or lamp-lighting ritual.2017-01-15Photo 11710040February 22 20172017-02-22December 16 20162016-12-16September 04 20122012-09-04A close photograph of a seated person performing a puja on a turquoise mat over a white dhoti, with hands folded in front.
