He is bare-chested and wears a rudraksha mala and a bangle. He holds a silver lamp with a burning flame in his right hand and a small bell in his left, performing an aarti or puja. Vertical white tilak marks decorate his forehead. Behind him, blurred seated figures and drums suggest a ritual gathering in an outdoor courtyard with green foliage.2011-12-17A shaved-headed priest in a white dhoti and shawl stands holding a silver oil lamp with a lit flame raised in front of his face. He wears a gold bangle, a ring and a long gold-beaded garland across the chest, with white sacred ash bands on his forehead and arms and a red mark between his brows. Another person's green and orange clothing is visible at the edges.
