August 03 20102010-08-03A photograph of a temple scene in which a man in a white shirt and white dhoti, seen from behind with grey hair, bends forward to touch the hand of a seated man on an ornate gold throne. The seated man wears saffron-orange robes, a long red-pink flower garland, a dark rudraksha mala and a red tilak mark on his forehead; his long dark hair falls past his shoulders. Behind them stands a red-clad deity murti adorned with gold jewellery, yellow marigold garlands and a gold crown, with ornate gold pillars and candle holders around. Fruit offerings sit at the lower left edge. Two further people in white partly appear at the frame edges, and a partially visible person in orange stands at the left.2010-08-10 +1 copiesAugust 03 20102010-08-03A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with red-and-zebra-print cushions, wearing a white flower garland with rubies or red blooms and a white-and-red garland draped over the backrest. He wears white and red-and-purple flower garlands and a red tilak on his forehead, with long swept-back hair. A man in a white-and-grey checked shirt and grey trousers stands at left, reaching out with both hands to the seated figure in a gesture of respect. At left edge, another person in orange garments is partly visible. Behind the throne, a large deity murti in orange drapery is garlanded with yellow and purple flowers, and brass lamps stand in the background. A man in a white striped shirt kneels or bends forward at the lower left, facing him, with white and red wrist threads. The seated man has swept-back dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead, and holds the mala beads in one hand. A gilded pillar and a yellow fabric panel appear at the left edge of the frame. The seated figure matches a person by his saffron clothing, rudraksha mala, and the throne, so the person is in_person, and the devotee is a white-clad devotee.2010-08-07A seated figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala draped over the chest sits on an orange cushioned seat in front of a gilded shrine.
