A bearded man with long hair, bare-chested and wearing a white dhoti with a pink-bordered cloth, a red rudraksha mala and a wristwatch, holds a lit oil lamp aloft with his right hand while his left hand is raised in a mudra. Beside him a young man, bare-chested with a white dhoti and sacred thread, stands with palms pressed together. Flames and smoke rise from a fire pit at right, with offerings and a red-flowered bowl near it. To the left, a large decorated structure with pink lotus tiers, garlands of white and red flowers, carved lions and a serpent-like base stands beside fruit, bowls and brass vessels on a cloth. A gilded throne with a canopy and brass lamp stands behind them, and white-clad devotees sit in the background.2017-03-16A night-time homa ritual under a corrugated metal roof. A shirtless man in a green head cloth and white dhoti with a green border raises a silver bowl toward a tiered, flower-decorated ratha-style palanquin with white and red garlands, a pink lotus base and lion and elephant figures at its foot. A bright light shines beside him and smoke drifts at left. Behind, seated devotees in white and maroon garments watch. At far left a man in an orange shawl and white dhoti stands with hands folded, and a woman in orange robes sits in the centre foreground. The scene suggests a deity procession or puja at night.2016-07-04August 21 20142014-08-21April 28 20172017-04-28A photograph of a fire ritual at an open-sided pavilion with a corrugated metal roof.
