A red bindi marks his forehead and a shawl is draped over his shoulder. Behind him, two other saffron-robed men with long hair and bead necklaces stand by, one holding a silver tray, and a flower is placed on top of the linga. The setting is a dark stage during a linga abhishekam ritual.2010-02-12July 03 20082008-07-03Photo of a ritual at a riverside steps setting. A man with long dark curly hair in an orange saffron wrap and rudraksha mala pours liquid from a silver bowl over a small golden meru-shaped yantra on a yellow-and-gold carved wooden stand. Beside it stands a small gold deity murti with a crown. Seated devotees around him wear orange and saffron shawls; a man in white with an orange shawl sits behind, a bearded man in orange and beads sits further back, and a woman in orange and sunglasses sits at right. A microphone stand is visible behind the ritual. Red pillars and stone steps form the background.2008-07-03A seated man in long swept-back dark hair, orange saffron wrap and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace with a gold pendant sits cross-legged before a fire homa, hands clasped, with a brass bowl and wooden fuel visible at the flames. Behind him a carved wooden backrest with floral motifs is visible. A crowd of seated devotees with closed eyes surrounds him; a man in blue wears rudraksha beads, a woman in pink wears rudraksha beads, and a man in white at left has a white dhoti. Swamiji (probable) is the central figure, identified by long hair, saffron clothing and gold necklace, performing homa.2006-05-22A man with long dark hair and a red bindi sits cross-legged with eyes closed and hands clasped in his lap, in meditation. He wears a sleeveless saffron-orange robe draped over one shoulder. Behind him stands a large black stone deity murti with a flower garland of yellow and red blossoms, set on a white tiered pedestal scattered with petals. Nearby a black stone shivalinga stands in the background, and a brass kalasha vessel sits at lower left on sandy ground. A person in white clothes with a yellow shawl sits at the right edge. Trees and palms fill the background.2010-07-04A seated man in an orange saffron shawl and orange garment, wearing a long gold-beaded necklace, sits with eyes closed on an orange-cushioned throne draped with a leopard-print cloth, with a short orange canopy pole behind him. Two men in white dhoti-style clothing with bare shoulders and gold necklaces sit in the foreground, one with a shaved head and one holding a small object near a golden vessel. The setting is an outdoor terrace with trees behind. Appearance-based probable Swamiji (probable) seated with long dark hair, saffron clothing and a rudraksha-style gold necklace, presiding over a ritual gathering during a Himalayan Yatra pada puja.2010-09-24A seated man in an orange-saffron robe sits cross-legged on an orange cushion on a low wooden platform outdoors, with his right hand raised in a gesture while his left hand rests on his lap. He has long dark hair, a red tilak mark on his forehead, a dense gold bead mala with ornate gold chains, and gold bangles. A small brass vessel with a spout sits on the ground to his left. Behind him a man in white dhoti and shirt carries a drum with a strap, and orange-painted stone structures and a stone deity murti stand in the background among palm trees and shrubs. The probable Swamiji cues are the long swept-back hair, saffron robe, and ornate gold mala; the scene reads as a teaching or puja setting.2010-12-28
