Rudraksha malas hang across his chest. Behind him stands an ornate golden shrine, and at left a deity murti is draped with garlands of marigolds and red and white flowers, with a gold kalasha and a golden lion figure below. Brass pots decorated with flowers sit in front of the murti, and a fire burns in the foreground during a homa or puja. The priest's appearance does not clearly match a distinctive identity, so he is described by role only.2021-06-20 +1 copiesFebruary 21 20202020-02-21 +3 copiesJune 20 20212021-06-20June 20 20212021-06-20June 20 20212021-06-20June 20 20212021-06-20June 20 20212021-06-20A photograph of a temple ritual. In the left foreground a man in a rust-red turban and rust-red robe, with a white flower garland, long dark dreadlock-style hair falling to his back, and gold armlets, stands in profile holding a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward a shrine. Behind him, golden deity murtis are heavily decorated with multicoloured flower garlands in red, yellow, purple and white, and a golden cobra hood is visible. A brass bell and other ritual implements are nearby. The scene suggests a puja or aarti at a deity shrine.2017-07-09A figure with long dark dreadlocks wears an orange-red shawl wrapped over the shoulder and a rudraksha bracelet on the wrist, and places a hand on a black Shiva lingam in front of golden deity murtis. Behind them stands a golden murti with a trident and an ornate golden figure wearing a red-gold silk sari and layered silver jewellery. Garlands of red, yellow and white flowers form the backdrop. The figure's appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference, but the face is not clearly visible, so the identity is uncertain.2017-02-24
