January 15 20092009-01-15Interior of a dim temple hall where a row of lit oil lamps sits on a long metal table in the foreground. A man in an orange robe with a long orange-and-white garland and a shaved head stands at the centre, hands near the lamps, with the appearance of a person as a sannyasi leader. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts and several people in orange shawls stand close, and a uniformed police officer in khaki stands at left beside women in white saris with brass lamps. Pillars and a glass partition are visible behind, and a camera and microphone are at lower left.2008-08-02December 29 20102010-12-29August 02 20082008-08-02Photograph inside a dim temple hall with carved stone pillars and a sculpted figure on the right wall. A central figure in a saffron-orange robe and matching orange turban wears a long garland of white flowers and green leaves, and a gold pendant is visible at the chest; he walks forward with his head turned to the side. Around him, men and boys in white dhotis and white shirts, several wearing rudraksha malas and orange shawls, walk alongside. A bare-chested man in a brown-and-white dhoti walks at right, and a woman in a light sari stands at the edge. A blue cloth bag hangs from a man at left. The figure in orange has distinctive orange robes, turban and garland, so the appearance-based candidate is a person, walking in a temple procession with devotees and attendants.2007-08-17January 15 20092009-01-15A photograph of a dense crowd moving through a dim, stone-walled temple passage at night, lit by sparse warm lamps. In the centre, a figure in an orange robe with an orange head wrap walks with palms pressed together in namaste, with a gold-toned necklace visible, flanked by devotees. Many men wear white shirts or dhotis with orange or saffron shawls, and several wear orange garments. An older man in a red shirt and spectacles walks in the foreground, and a woman in a pink sari stands at right. Carved stone reliefs line the walls, and a blue metal gate stands at left. The appearance-based candidate's cues are an orange head covering and saffron clothing with ornate gold ornaments, but the face is not clearly visible, so identity is uncertain.2008-01-02Interior colonnade of a stone temple with carved pillars and a painted ceiling of concentric colourful circles. A group of about a dozen people stands in the corridor listening to a man in a light blue shirt standing at left. Several people wear white clothes, one woman and one man wear orange saffron wraps, and a bare-backed man in a yellow and purple lungi stands in the foreground with his back to the camera. Heads and shoulders of foreground onlookers are visible. The setting appears to be a temple walkway visit with a guided explanation. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2008-07-29August 02 20082008-08-02January 15 20092009-01-15January 15 20092009-01-15A photograph inside a temple corridor with painted stone pillars and carved lion figures, with colourful painted guardian statues lining the walls. A printed sign on a board reads 'Sri Parvathavardhini Ambal Sannidhi' above the doorway. Several men in saffron/orange dhotis and shawls, with orange rudraksha-style garlands, walk in a group past the doorway, while older men in white shirts and dhotis and a woman in a yellow sari stand alongside. A bare-chested priest with white sacred markings on his chest and arms stands at left in a white dhoti. The orange-clad figure in the centre-left wears an orange robe and garland; identity is not established from appearance.2009-01-14
