September 12 20152015-09-12A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with carved floral backrest, wearing a red-orange turban with gold trim, a red-orange robe with gold edging, layered beaded necklaces, a large gold pendant and rudraksha beads, and a bangle on the upper arm. A small red tilak marks the forehead and the eyes are lowered as he smiles. Beside him a second seated figure in red-orange robes and gold necklace sits near a gold pillar and tall gold oil lamp. In the foreground a man in a white dhoti and white head cloth leans forward toward the throne. A woman in white with a brown beaded garland stands at the upper right, and a tall gold staff rises in the centre. Dark red drapery forms the background. The figure on the throne has distinctive long swept-back hair and ceremonial gold and rudraksha adornment, consistent with the page's a person reference, but this is an appearance-based judgement only.2015-08-07A seated man in a maroon-red robe and matching red-brown turban sits on an ornate golden throne with a large fan-shaped back and red cushions. He wears a long garland of lavender and white flowers, a gold necklace and a large gold pendant, and his eyes are closed in a calm, meditative expression. Beside him, a shirtless devotee in a white dhoti with a white cloth tied at the head bends forward while another man in a white dhoti and sacred thread stands behind, one hand on the devotee's back, apparently performing a blessing or padapuja-style ritual. Behind them hang gold and maroon silk drapes and a tall brass lamp stands at right.2017-07-08July 31 20152015-07-31A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne in a red-curtained hall, wearing a rust-orange turban, long rudraksha and gold bead malas, bangles and an orange-and-gold dress, smiling and resting a hand on a cushion. Seated beside him is a bald man with a yellow tilak, glasses and a rudraksha mala over orange-red robes, hands folded. A kneeling man with long hair in a bun and an orange shawl presses his palms together before the throne. Standing behind are people in white and cream dhotis with rudraksha malas and a woman in a blue kurta and red leggings. Behind the throne stands a brass oil lamp and a gilded deity murti. Appearance-based candidate, probable Swamiji (probable), is the figure on the throne, identified by the turban, rudraksha and gold malas and ceremonial dress; the cues are compatible but not fully distinctive.2015-10-12Photo of a ceremony in a decorated hall. A seated man on a gold-cushioned throne wears a rust-red turban, red-orange robes and a long rudraksha mala with gold beads, smiling as he holds a small offering in his hand. Behind him hangs a large garland of yellow marigolds and red and white flowers, and a gilded lion-shaped carving rests beside the throne. Standing to the left, a shaved-headed priest in white dhoti and shawl with gold border wears rudraksha malas, sacred ash marks on his forehead and arms, and performs a gesture with his hands. A younger man in red-orange cloth and a rudraksha mala stands at the far left edge.2015-07-31A seated figure in a rust-red turban, red-orange robe and a long ornate necklace of rudraksha beads and gold-toned beads sits on a golden throne before a flower-decorated altar with yellow and orange garlands. An older man with grey hair and a beard, wearing an orange shawl and a white flower garland, bows forward and touches the seated figure's arm. Around them stand three men in white and saffron clothing with white tilak marks on their foreheads, one holding rudraksha malas, watching with smiles. Golden deity murti and brass ritual objects sit on the altar. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure wears a turban, rudraksha mala and gold necklace, consistent with the page's description of the event.2015-07-31July 13 20162016-07-13September 10 20172017-09-10 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gilded throne with a curved, golden backrest. The seated person wears a deep red turban, a red-orange robe with a striped gold-and-maroon shawl, layered rudraksha malas, a heavy gold necklace with a pendant, and gold armbands; a flower garland of yellow blooms rests on his lap. He raises one hand in blessing. Before him, a bare-chested older man with white hair and glasses bows with palms joined, while a younger attendant in brown and maroon cloth stands behind him, and another attendant in white dhoti stands at the left edge.2015-11-24July 31 20152015-07-31June 08 20172017-06-08
