Behind them stands a silver trident (trishul) and gold ornaments on a dais, with a bamboo and green-leaf backdrop. The kneeling man bows in a blessing gesture, holding a folded paper. Appearance cues on the seated figure include saffron robes and a rudraksha mala, but the figure is not confidently identified from the photo alone.2014-10-12Night photo of a Hindu ceremony. A bare-chested man with long swept-back dark hair, a white forehead mark, saffron-orange cloth and multiple beaded rudraksha-style necklaces smiles while seated on a cream upholstered throne, one arm extended toward a gilded lion-like figure in the foreground. Around him, saffron-robed men with shaved heads and white forehead markings stand or kneel. On the left, a man in a white shirt presses his palms together in añjali. Behind them, a camera on a tripod, colourful floral garlands and string lights are visible.2013-03-10A seated figure with long swept-back dark hair, a white forehead band, an orange-saffron wrap and a long orange-beaded rudraksha mala with gold ornaments reaches out to bless a young woman kneeling on a red carpet at a ceremony at night. She has her palms pressed together and eyes closed, wearing a white top. He holds a strand of orange beads over her head. Around them stand devotees in white and saffron clothes, some with white forehead markings and mala beads, and a woman in a red sari with a white-clad companion. Behind them hangs a backdrop of colourful flower garlands, and in the foreground is a gold-finished decorative lion-head ornament on the throne area. Visible details suggest a blessing (darshan) in an outdoor evening setting.2013-03-10A seated man with long swept-back dreadlocked hair, a white tripundra mark and red bindi on his forehead, wears a rust-red shawl and a multi-strand rudraksha mala with a silver pendant. He smiles toward a older man in a white shirt with short white hair who kneels close with palms pressed together in anjali mudra. Behind them stands a silver lion-head carving and a silver ornamented chair with a leopard-print cloth. The setting is a dark stage with the robed man seated on a throne-like seat during what appears to be a darshan.2017-12-16A photograph of an indoor devotional setting with a seated figure on an ornate silver-framed throne draped in a leopard-print cloth and a red velvet cushion. The seated figure wears saffron-orange robes, a long purple orchid garland, and a dark beaded necklace, and gestures with raised hands toward a kneeling man in white dhoti-style clothing with an orange shawl, who is also gesturing as they speak. Behind them, a woman in white with an orange shawl and other devotees in white or orange clothing are visible, along with purple orchids and white flowers at the left, a white shag rug, and gold ceremonial objects at the lower left. Appearance-based cues on the seated figure (saffron robes, ornate garland, throne) are consistent with the page's reference to a person.2012-12-18Night outdoor event with a seated man on a cushioned throne-like chair, wearing an orange-red saffron robe, gold-and-orange beaded necklaces, and a white forehead band, smiling toward the right. Beside him is a gold ceremonial object and an orange hand towel, with a video camera on a tripod nearby. Around him, several men in saffron robes with gold beaded malas and white forehead markings stand, while a bald man in white kneels with his hands pressed together in prayer near the bottom left. Behind them are floral garlands in yellow, red and pink and dim string lights. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair and saffron clothing with ornate gold beads, consistent with the page's identification, though the appearance is only moderately distinctive.2013-03-10A long-haired man in a red-orange garment and multi-strand rudraksha mala sits beside an ornate gold-carved throne, raising his right hand to touch the forehead of a younger man in white kurta with a red-patterned shawl, who stands with palms pressed together in anjali. Behind them stand decorated deity murtis draped in green and gold garments and garlands, with green plants and a small offering tray of flowers and fruit. The scene suggests blessing or darshan. Swamiji (probable): the seated man's long hair, orange-red clothing and rudraksha mala match the page candidate, and he is seated on the throne; the appearance cues are reasonably distinctive, so the label is probable. Two physical people are visible.2014-12-24December 26 20142014-12-26August 26 20142014-08-26January 15 20132013-01-15July 08 20122012-07-08
