July 07 20122012-07-07November 30 20112011-11-30A young girl with dark hair in two low pigtails tied with blue and orange bands stands in front of a crowd at an evening gathering. She wears a pink and white plaid zip-up hoodie over a white top with small hearts. A man in an orange-saffron robe reaches in from the right and places his hand on her forehead in a blessing gesture. Behind them, blurred seated and standing people, several women among them, fill the warmly lit hall.2011-11-28Night outdoor gathering under a bright floodlight. In the foreground, a person in a long orange shawl and orange top, with dark hair in a low bun, places a hand on the forehead of a young girl with hair in pigtails, wearing a pink and white plaid hooded jacket. Behind them, a large seated audience of women and girls in white, pink and patterned saris and kurtas watches, several smiling. Metal railings and light poles frame the scene. The orange-clad figure's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2011-11-28A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a swept-back hairstyle and a white tilak on his forehead sits on a red-and-gold throne draped in silver-patterned fabric, reaching down to touch the head of a small girl in a pink dress who kneels before him with a rudraksha mala hanging from her neck. Behind him, a man in orange robes with a ceremonial necklace and a man in white kurta with a rudraksha mala stand near marigold garlands. A man in white and a bald head appear in the lower foreground. Swamiji (probable) appears as the seated figure, identified by his saffron robes, swept-back hair, rudraksha-adorned presence and throne seat, in a blessing gesture with the child.2009-09-11July 15 20132013-07-15July 07 20122012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07July 07 20122012-07-07A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala blesses a young girl in an orange top with a pink hheadband. He rests one hand on her head and holds her hands. Behind them, devotees in white and orange clothing stand and watch in an indoor room with a white air conditioner and a brass lamp at the left edge. The scene resembles a blessing or padapuja-style interaction.2011-11-26February 21 20132013-02-21A woman in an orange sari with gold hoop earrings places her right hand on the head of a short-haired boy in a black-and-white striped zip jacket, blessing him in an indoor setting. Behind them, a bald man in an orange top wears a rudraksha mala, and to the right a person in white with a rudraksha mala looks down. Other children in orange and white stand in the background, with a red drape on the wall. The woman's clothing and the blessing gesture suggest a devotional blessing rather than a named ritual.2012-07-07
