Blurred night photograph of a dense crowd of men and women moving along a street during a procession, many holding black umbrellas against rain. Most wear white shirts and kurtas. A decorated temple-style gateway with a red and green painted facade and hanging lights stands behind them, with a painted deity figure in red and gold on the left. Some people in the crowd wear headscarves or garlands. Shallow, motion-blurred composition captures movement through the crowd.2006-10-29October 29 20062006-10-29A dense crowd of devotees gathered at dusk in front of a temple, with warm lamplight glowing in the background. Many people press forward with palms joined in anjali. Several men are bare-chested, wearing white dhotis, with sacred ash and tilak smeared across their foreheads and chests. A shirtless man in the centre has rudraksha-style beads around his neck and his hands folded at his chest, and a man beside him wears a white shirt and a white cloth tied around his head. Women wear saris in red, orange, pink and green, with flowers in their hair and gold jewellery. Children stand among the adults, and a pale blue temple pillar and a green-painted wall frame the scene. This appears to be a temple procession or darshan. A blue dove logo appears in the top left corner.2006-10-25October 29 20062006-10-29October 14 20062006-10-14October 29 20062006-10-29October 29 20062006-10-29A blurred night photograph of a dense crowd of men at a procession, mostly in plain white shirts and trousers. No clearly identifiable a person is distinguishable among the crowd, so no identification is made.2006-10-29A crowded indoor evening gathering with many devotees in white shirts and dhotis and women in yellow and dark saris, pressed together in a room with a red-orange wall, string lights overhead and green banana-leaf decorations hanging at the edges. A decorated ceremonial item with red and white fabric stands near the right wall. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person, and no throne or central figure is visible.2013-01-06A dense crowd of devotees fills a busy street or temple-side passage under bright overhead light. In the foreground a woman in a blue sari with gold bangles and a gold necklace bends forward, and a young woman in a yellow sari stands nearby. Beside them a young girl wears a pink-lilac sari, and a woman in a teal sari with a gold necklace stands at right. At far right a young man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands with a dark rudraksha-style bead mala across his chest. Men in white shirts and a striped plaid shirt appear among the crowd, and a red-and-white banner with pictures hangs on the left. A large colourful festival panel with floral and geometric designs decorates the right edge. The scene suggests a ritual procession or darshan line, with people pressed closely together.April 06 20122012-04-06A night street photograph of a large crowd of devotees gathered outdoors, many with white and red vibhuti or kumkum marks on their foreheads.
