A photograph of a street procession outside a stone temple with columns and a tiled roof. In the centre, a bearded man with long dark hair and a crown-less head wears an orange-red sannyasi robe, a thick ornate gold-and-bead garland, and gold bangles on his arm, walking with his head slightly lowered. Beside him, a man in a white dhoti with a gold-bordered shawl wears a bead garland. On the right, a shaved-headed man in orange robes and rudraksha malas walks with a phone in hand, and an orange-robed attendant follows. Onlookers line the background, a red-and-white barricade runs along the road, and a ceremonial umbrella with hanging decorations is visible at top right.2016-11-11August 03 20092009-08-03Outdoor photo at a temple precinct, with a tall gopuram tower visible in the background and a stone wall with a corrugated roof on the left. A long-haired man in an orange-saffron robe wears a green-and-white flower garland, a gold ceremonial necklace, and a red tilak on his forehead, and walks beside an older bald, bearded man in orange robes. A third man in white shirt and white dhoti, with a pink rosette badge, walks at left, and a man in an orange shawl over white clothes walks at right. A crowd stands behind them, and police officers in khaki uniform are visible in the background. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired man in the flower garland and gold necklace, shown in-person walking with devotees.2006-12-04December 12 20162016-12-12December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04Photograph of a temple courtyard procession at a South Indian temple, with a pink gopuram-style wall and stone pillars behind. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, a saffron/orange robe and a long garland of white flowers walks forward, smiling. Swamiji (probable): long swept-back hair, saffron robes and a garland are present, and the figure is walking in a procession. To his left a bearded man wears a white dhoti-style kurta with an orange shawl and a pink garland; beside him an older woman in a purple sari walks. Behind them an older man in an orange robe, a man in white, and other devotees and women in saris follow. A woman in a red sari sits to the right holding a flower garland, and a uniformed police officer stands in the background. A coloured kolam rangoli design is visible on the ground at left, and a framed poster hangs on the wall.2006-12-04Outdoor photograph of a walkway of reddish dirt lined with trees and low buildings, with a crowd of people walking in the same direction. In the foreground, a bald, bearded man with long hair wears a white dhoti-style robe with orange edging and a long dark rudraksha mala, carrying a red and white bag over one shoulder and a black bag in his other hand. Around him, men and boys wear white kurtas and white clothing, several with orange or yellow lanyards, and a boy in a white t-shirt wears a small rudraksha necklace. Orange and white decorative streamers hang along a wall in the background.2009-07-08Outdoor photo at a South Indian temple street beside a tall gopuram. Two saffron-robed men walk together: a long-haired man in orange with a green garland and a gold-beaded necklace, and an older shaved-headed man in orange shawl holding a rolled white cloth. Behind them, devotees in white shirts and dhotis, some wearing pink rosettes, stand along a metal barrier beneath a corrugated awning. A man in a striped shirt walks at left. The appearance of the long-haired figure with garland and gold necklace is a probable match for Swamiji (probable), walking in procession with a companion monk.2006-12-04December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04A crowded outdoor procession at dusk among tall palm trees, with strings of lights and bunting strung overhead.
