Photograph of a temple courtyard with a painted gopuram-style tower and blue stone elephant statues flanking the steps. A bearded man in a yellow dhoti and shawl holds a silver tray of fruit, flowers and offerings, with a red-and-orange ribbon. Beside him a man in a white shirt and watch walks, a garland of white and red flowers hangs from another man's shoulder, and a bare-chested man in orange dhoti carries a plastic bag of petals. Strings of paper leaf decorations hang overhead and a figure stands in white near the pillared shelter.

A photograph of a ceremonial welcome outdoors in front of a South Indian temple gopuram with colourful painted towers. On the left, a man in an orange saffron wrap and orange turban, with rudraksha beads and a bare upper body, stands with palms pressed together in greeting. Beside him, a man in a white shirt and dark trousers with a wristwatch holds up a long garland of white and red flowers. On the right, a man with a bearded face, forehead sandalwood markings and a yellow shawl holds a silver-edged tray of flowers, green limes and betel leaves. Other people stand in the background, including a woman in a golden sari, and a small roof shelter and palm leaves appear at the top.

A photograph inside a temple colonnade at Sri Narayani Peetam. In the centre, a bare-chested man with long swept-back dark hair, an orange saffron shawl and a long garland of yellow and green flowers walks barefoot past a white elephant sculpture at the base of ornate blue-and-gold temple steps. Beside him, a bearded man in orange shawl and white dhoti walks, followed by several men in white shirts and dhotis. A man in a light blue shirt stands at the right beside a black speaker, and gopuram carvings with lion motifs frame the scene. Count of visible people is about seven.

A photograph at the entrance of a white ornate temple. A figure with long curly dark hair in an orange saffron top and orange dhoti stands at left, receiving an offering from a priest. The priest, bald and in a beige shawl over white dhoti, holds a brass tray of red fruits and a coconut-like kalasha offering wrapped in cloth. Beside him a man bare-chested with rudraksha mala and orange cloth holds the tray, and at right a man with topknot wears a grey shawl with red border. Behind them a woman in a blue sari with purple wrap stands with hands joined, and people are visible in the background near the temple doorway.

A photograph of a welcome moment at an entrance. A man with long dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, an orange saffron wrap and a thick garland of white jasmine and red flowers stands at left with hands pressed together in greeting. Facing him at right, a bare-chested priest in a sacred thread holds a tray of white flowers, green leaves and a brass vessel. Behind them, several men in white and cream shirts stand watching near a carved wooden doorway. Four to five people are visible in the scene.

A long-haired man in a yellow saffron-toned dhoti-style garment and gold beaded necklace scatters yellow flowers on a marigold-garlanded deity murti or seated figure, with red, purple and yellow garlands draped across the right side. Two priests stand left: one in white dhoti with gold border holds an aarti plate with a flame, the other in orange-red cloth holds a tray of flowers. A red railing and a cameraman in the background suggest a ritual performed outdoors at an ashram. The man is a person candidate by appearance: long swept hair, ceremonial gold necklaces and a yellow garment, performing a puja-style offering of flowers.
