October 17 20102010-10-17Outdoor festival procession on a dirt road with green trees and low buildings behind. A central man in an orange saffron dress with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi and a heavy gold bead necklace walks forward smiling. Around him, devotees in orange and white clothing have faces and bald heads smeared with pink, magenta and green powder, and a woman in a white sari with a red-stained face walks at left. Several children and a younger girl in pink watch or join in. The scene suggests a colour-powder celebration procession.2010-10-17Outdoor photo on a red-brick path with rocky cliffs and pine trees behind. A man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing a flowing saffron-orange wrap, a heavy gold-bead and rudraksha mala with a large gold pendant, and orange sandals, walks forward smiling. Around him, followers in orange shawls and orange caps walk along; one woman in white trousers and a woman in a blue patterned saree are visible. A water bottle is held nearby.2006-05-26April 01 20122012-04-01December 29 20082008-12-29April 02 20122012-04-02A photograph of a smiling man with long dark hair swept back, wearing a flowing saffron-orange robe and a long ceremonial necklace of gold-toned beads, and a tilak mark on his forehead. He appears to be walking forward with one hand extended. Behind him, a man in a white dhoti with a red-striped border walks in the same direction, and other people stand partly visible at the left edge in a stone-paved area.2010-01-08A photograph of an outdoor gathering under palm trees with a thatched shelter and blue-shuttered white building behind. At the centre, a bearded man in saffron robes with a dark rudraksha-style tuft embraces a man in orange and smiles, holding a small round object. On the left, a smiling man wears a golden turban-style headwear, a white and red flower garland, a gold necklace and bells on a long mala, and saffron clothing. Around them, women in white saris with saffron shawls and white forehead markings smile. A printed copyright and archive credit appears at lower right.2008-12-27A procession at an outdoor ground. A central figure with long dark hair and a red bindi stands with hands in anjali mudra, wearing a red and white flower garland, layered gold chains, and a white dhoti and shawl with gold borders. Two men flank him in saffron-orange robes carrying tall golden staffs, one topped with a trident and the other a twisted gold rod. Behind them a red, green and yellow canopy with tasseled fringe is raised over the group, and a crowd in orange and white stands beyond.2009-01-01May 28 20132013-05-28December 23 20072007-12-23A man in saffron-orange draped robes stands barefoot on a stone pavement in front of a pink temple building with carved window frames and grilled windows. He has long dark hair swept back, a red bindi and white vertical tilak on his forehead, and wears a heavy gold bead necklace with a central gold pendant. He gestures with his right hand while people in white dhotis, white saris and a red-and-white printed sari crowd around him, some wearing yellow lanyards. Swamiji (probable) is the central figure; the cues are the long swept-back hair, saffron robes, ornate gold necklace and tilak, as he is visiting a temple setting.2009-08-06
