A construction site where workers build a concrete block wall with bamboo scaffolding and a steel roof truss frame overhead. Several men in work clothes stand on the bamboo platforms and on the sand-covered ground, one in a blue shirt and white cap on the upper scaffold, another in white on the right. Stacks of grey concrete blocks lie near the base of the wall, with a yellow bucket and coiled rope at the lower left.

A photo of a building under construction at an ashram site. Grey concrete block walls rise along a half-finished structure with an open window frame and a corrugated metal roof edge. A worker in a yellow shirt and dark trousers stands on a blue metal scaffold, working on the upper wall. Other workers are visible on scaffolding and near the base, and loose soil, stacked blocks and a blue ladder lie in the foreground.

A photograph of a building under construction on a dusty site. Concrete block walls rise around a central area, with wooden scaffolding poles lashed together and a steel roof truss frame overhead. Several workers in mixed clothing are positioned on the scaffolding and along the wall; one man in a blue shirt stands on a scaffold platform, another in a light shirt and green cloth works on the far right, and a man in a white shirt and light cloth stands at the front. A worker in a white shirt and dark trousers sits in the foreground near a pile of cement bags, and a construction crane is visible in the background.

Interior of a partly built hall under a corrugated metal roof supported by steel trusses. Grey cinder-block walls rise on three sides, and a raised stepped platform of block stands in the centre. Several workers are building the walls: one on the left atop a low wall, one on scaffolding at the right, and one climbing a ladder. A woman in a pink top and grey skirt with a head covering walks across the floor, and another worker in red stands near the platform. Loose stones, rubble, a white sack and pipes are scattered on the bare earth floor. No deity, ritual or a person candidate is visible.

A construction site showing a partly built block-walled structure with a metal scaffold frame on the right and a corrugated green roof on the left. Four workers are visible: one in a pale shirt and shorts sweeps on a plank, one in a blue shirt stands on a board, and two in blue shirts and white or yellow caps work on the upper course of blocks, one holding a red basin of mortar. Trees stand behind.

A photograph of an unfinished multi-storey concrete block building under construction, framed by bamboo scaffolding lashed with rope. Stacks of concrete blocks sit in the foreground, and bags of material rest near the base. Several workers are visible: a woman in a red sari and white head covering carries a sack on her shoulder, a worker in an orange top carries a bundle, a man in a light checked shirt stands nearby, and figures sit or move near the lower left. Exposed rebar rises from the roof edges and upper floors, and bamboo planks rest across the upper levels.

A construction site between cinder-block walls. Scaffolding of bamboo poles and rope supports workers. A man in an orange-and-white shirt and dark lungi stands on a plank at the upper left, reaching toward the wall. Another man in a white shirt and checked lungi works on the upper right, while a boy in a light shirt and a younger child in shorts and a lungi stand below on the plank. A man in white clothing walks in the dirt lane in the background. The unfinished gateway opening is framed by block walls and a plank platform.
