From the works of Enlighetened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. In this talk Nithyananda expounds on Shiva Sutras which are techniques given by Shiva to Devi to directly experience enlightenment. Nithyananda narrates a story from Shiva Purana where Brahma (intellect) and Vishnu (wealth) go to Shiva to resolve who are great. Nithyananda beautifully describes Shiva as Samhara which means to create a space for new things. He creates space so that updating can happen. Unfortunately these descriptions are lost when we translate these terms into English where we state Shiva is destroyer. The meaning behind this beautiful Purana is that neither intellect (symbolized by Brahma, the lord of Saraswati) nor money (symbolized by Vishnu, Lord of Lakshmi) can lead to ultimate consciousness.the works of Living Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. In this clip taken from the discourse titled, Disengage from the I, Swamiji teaches us that there are different levels from which we can operate our body from fear, greed or from prana or life force. Most of us live our lives operating between greed and fear or between Mooladhara and Swadhisthana chakras. In this meditation technique Shiva is making us experience a cognitive shift out of fear and greed. Through this technique we can experience that we are beyond this body.

Danger of the path of Intellect

Nithyananda tells us neither intellect nor money can help you reach the ultimate. Atleast through money at one point you will invariably face the depression of success and start moving inwards. On the other hand the path of intellectual is very dangerous. You will not only realize the ultimate but will not be able to accept that you have not seen since the ego becomes so strong.

Nithyananda beautifully discusses the deeper secrets of Idagala, Pingala and Sushumna Nadis. Too much of energy going up the Pingala will make you into a dry intellectual where as those centered on materialism will have too much energy flowing through Pingala. It is the Sushumna Nadi that helps you to be neither intellectual, nor materialistic that is they are spiritual beings.
