This is a insightful article on Swami Vivekananda and Sister Nivedita that shows how Masters train their disciples to free them of of their pre-conceived notions and bondages. Incidentally, Swami Vivekananda too was at the receiving end of many allegations of impropriety by many contemporaries - all of whom are long dead and forgotten. But at that time it took a heavy toll on him and his organisation as he notes in his biographical writings "Vivekananda on Vivekananda" which was taken into a movie by the Ramakrishna Mutt.

Suffering is often illogical and I cannot attempt to justify by reason the degree of unhappiness which I experienced at this time as I saw the dream of a friendly and beloved leader falling away from me, and the picture of one who would be at least indifferent, and possibly silently hostile, substituting itself instead”.

Nivedita possessed an aggressively Occidental and intensely, English outlook. It was not easy for her to eradicate instinctive national loyalties and strong personal likes and dislikes. A clash between the teacher and the disciple was inevitable. Ruthlessly the Swami crushed her pride in her English upbringing. Perhaps, at the same time, he wanted to protect her against the passionate adoration she had for him. Nivedita suffered bitter anguish.

It goes to Nivedita’s credit that she withstood Vivekananda’s harsh discipline, although she did have emotional breakdowns from time to time, when she was comforted by Mrs Bull and Josephine. He advised her to “Hinduise” her thoughts, needs, conceptions and habits since “your life, internal and external, has to become all that an orthodox Hindu Brahmin brahmacharini’s ought to be”. The decision to embrace the life of a celibate, he pointed out, came with a strict lifestyle.

Once, he urged her, “You have to forget your own past and cause it to be forgotten. You have to lose even its memory.” Nivedita, who still considered herself as “the most loyal English woman that ever breathed in this country,” felt “I cannot yet throw any of my past experience of human life and human relationships overboard”.

In fact, she confessed, “It is the dream of my life to make England and India love each other.” It was only later, once she became aware of the extent of British racial arrogance and the unfair discriminatory policies they practised against Indians that she adopted India completely and spoke for its people as one of her own. But that took some time.

In the USA Swami met with all kinds of obstacles. (Biography Page 76) The opposition of fanatical Christian missionaries was, of course, one of these. They promised him help if he only would preach their brand of Christianity. When the Swami refused, they circulated all sorts of filthy stories about him, and even succeeded in persuading some of the Americans who had previously invited him to be their guest, to cancel the invitations. But Vivekananda continued to preach the religion of love, renunciation, and truth..

Further back home Swami Vivekananda and Belur Math were the center of many accusations and scandals because of the presence of female Sanyasins and western disciples including Sister Nivedita.

Swami Nikhilananda writes is Swami Vivekananda's Biography (pg 145): "It is said that the spot immediately beneath a lamp is dark. And so it was that the orthodox people of the neighbouring villages hardly understood the ideas and ideals of the Belur Math. The monks there did not in all respects lead the life of orthodox sannyasins. Devotees from abroad frequented the monastery. In matters of food and dress the inmates were liberal. Thus they became the butt of criticism. The villagers invented scandals about them and the passengers on the boats passing along the Ganga would point out the monastery with an accusing finger. When the Swami heard all this he said: 'That is good. It is a law of nature. That is the way with all founders of religion. Without persecution superior ideas cannot penetrate into the heart of society.'

If you utter someone I love you without having honest love, the word will lose meaning for you. After this even if you try to love someone, this word will not have meaning or feeling for you. Do not utter the word knowing you can't stand by it. If you utter you lost that dimension in your life. \ Through this meditation, we are going to heal all the pain, Identity that we built on lies. This is a very powerful technique to heal all such wounds created in your system by continuous lying. This is a simple two-step process to get back to your real nature of Silence and be in Bliss.

𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬:

First Step:
1. Close your eyes and first search, seek to identify, in every step how many places, you built yourself with lies on lies, utter the word knowingly you are not that you are not going get a stand for it you are not fulfilling it. Close your eyes and look into yourself how many places you use the word knowing you don't mean it. It may be painful, suffering it's okay to go through it. See the truth at least let you know, even it is painful does not avoid it just because it is a pain. At least know how many places built your identity on which that is a lie

2. Now, read what you have written. you can open your eyes. Look into yourself. Try for the next 21 days not to use any word which you do not mean, do not use any word knowingly you can't stand for it. After 21 days of the above practice enter into the next step, the next practice which is described below.

Second Step:
1. Visualise some word (1st visualise with the word),
2. After few minutes, stay with the feeling of the word (drop the letter), &
3. Then relax from the feeling of the word and just be with yourself

GARBHALAYA (SHRINE ACTIVITIES)

1. SUPRABHATAM SEVA

We started the day with Suprabhatam Seva, first and foremost seva performed in the Temple to wake up the Deities.

2. EVENING GURU PUJA & SHIVA PUJA AND NAIVEDYAM OFFERING

We offered Guru Puja, which is an offering of gratitude to our beloved Bhagavan Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism JGM HDH Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam for happening in our lives. Shiva Puja was offered to experience oneness with Paramashiva. Naivedyam was offered to SWAMIJI and the Deities.

3. PALLIYARI PUJA

We ended the day with Palliyari Puja. After Palliyari Puja, Arati was offered to Kalabhairava Door and Jnanalaya. SPH JGM HDH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam blessed that Sri Kalabhairava will reside in the shrine door. We worship Kalabhairava's presence in the door.

ENRICHING ACTIVITIES

1. As a part of Charya Pada, Nithya Yoga and Nithya Puja were practiced during Brahma Muharta. Today was our day 1124 of BrahmaMuharta Yoga and Puja.

2. LIGHTING LAMP FOR SWAMIJI

KAILASA San Jose conducted 21 mins of Mahavakya chanting with lighting a lamp for Arunagiri Yogeeshwara offering sincere prayers to continue to radiate through our Beloved SWAMIJI The SPH Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam and keep his physical body alive for blessing the entire humanity

3. Day 38: DAILY KALPATARU MEDITATION

Powerful KALPATARU DAY 38 MEDITATION session was conducted by KAILASA San Jose.

Kalpataru Meditation is a powerful meditation given by SPH JGM Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam.

Kalpataru is the ability to Manifest what you want as reality. Attending the meditation will help in removing all your obstacles and a person will be able to Manifest Their Reality.

4.Enriching for upcoming PARAMASHIVOHAM L3

People are shared and enriched about the upcoming PARAMASHIVOHAM LEVEL 3 program.
