Original Verse

jit Aasn dae% @fI s<puq krE sae le mUlÖairtir xrE , )[a<pai[ %kf haey bEsE b÷ir ipiò idis krE ju @esE .

Transliteration

jati äsana dou eòé sampuöa karai so le müladväritari dharai | phaëämpäëi ukaòa hoya baisai bahuri piñöi disi karai ju aisai ॥

Translation

Bring the heels together and place them below the anus. Take both the hands towards backside in such a way that elbows are placed on the ground. The backside of the head should also be placed on the ground. Keep the knees in front and place them on the ground. Catch hold of backside of soles by the hands. Gaze should be nasal. This purifies the body. Mnd is also controlled.

Steps/Technique

1. Fold the legs and join the heels under the anus. 2. Sit on the feet, knees spread out. 3. Lean back and place the elbows on the ground. 4. Bring the back of the head to ground. 5. Hold the feet with the hands from behind. 6. Gaze at nose.
