The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam, the Sovereign of the United States of KAILASA, prays to Paramashiva for the Atma Shanti of Captain Vijaykanth, also known as Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswami (25 August 1952 – 28 December 2023), better known by his stage name Captain Vijayakanth. He was an Indian politician and actor who worked predominantly in Tamil cinema and was the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016.

Before entering politics Vijayakanth was a successful actor, producer and director. He was the founder and president of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) Political party and served as a MLA twice representing the constituency of Virudhachalam and Rishivandiyam respectively. He was nicknamed as "Captain" among film fraternity, he passed away on 28th December 2023.

Having taken the spiritual responsibility of bringing world peace, Kailasa’s Department of Religion and Worship would be offering Maheshwara Puja at the feet of The SPH for the same on 11th January 2024 (Amavasya).

The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam prays to Paramashiva for the Atma Shanti of 11 people who lost their lives in multi-vehicle crash during dense fog in northwestern Turkey. Further, The SPH sends His healing prayers to more than 50 people who were injured in this road accident.

In fulfillment of the spiritual responsibility for global peace, Kailasa’s Department of Religion and Worship will conduct Maheshwara Puja at the feet of The SPH on January 11, 2024 (Amavasya).
